“Last year it was so cold the attendance was just 3,500,” he said.

“But this year the ground conditions are perfect and the weather forecast is brilliant so we are expecting a top turnout.”

The show takes place tomorrow and Easter Monday and is Britain’s first major classic motoring event of the year.

Attractions include the ear-splitting racket of giant World War Two aero engines being fired up in the arena and the Piston Rings Motorcycle Display Team.

Halfords Plans To Open 200 New Autocenters.

Halfords reckon that the car maintenance market is worth £9 billion, with about 33 million cars needing regular servicing and repairs – that’s a lot of car accessories and parts, and should mean even more bulk buying to bring those store prices down. No, of course it won’t. Halfords also said it plans to open 200 more autocentres, which will create more than 1,000 new jobs. That works out at five staff per centre, so the chances of picking up your car at the time the mechanic told you will still remain slim to anorexic.

Cruisers unite to fight high fuel prices

A set of cruisers are aiming to hit the Houses Of Parliament with the biggest modified car led demo in history.

The organisers of the ‘Fuel Tax Protest Cruise’ want to draw attention to the recent hikes in fuel costs, and huge taxes that contribute to the UK being one of the most expensive places to drive in Europe.

The protest cruise is set to start in the North, making stops on route to London to allow other cruisers to join the convoy to London’s Parliament Square.

One of the organisers Mark Smith told us: “It’s time to stand up and do something about this. People may laugh at first, but every revolution is started by a small group of determined individuals. We just hope cruisers unite and join us in our fight.”

The date of the ‘Fuel Tax Protest Cruise’ is yet to be confirmed, but to keep up with latest developments on the Cruise Revolution Facebook page.

Terry has been a regular on the Vag scene for a number of years and has won various show and shine trophies with his gleaming Mk4 Golf Anniversary.

Terrys got a new daily runner and this time its in the form of a new VW Polo. After picking it up from Volkswagen Stoke On Trent he drove it straight down to The Ice House in fenton to upgrade the factory car audio. After the car audio gods at The Ice House finished the simple but effective audio install he dropped it on coilovers and added a set of Schmidt 17” Th line and added blue motion front and rear splitters and Gti side skirts all painted by Staffordshire Car Colors.

Ignition Xtreme is back for a second year only this time it’s at the famous Nottingham cruise venue MFN. If you haven’t been to an Ignition event before you’re missing out!

This show promises a weekend to remember or should we say not to remember? If ya know what we mean.Weekend camping is available on site as well as a nightclub with a sound system that will blow your tits off!

Not forgetting the ladies, as you know Ignition always put on a fair share of eye candy. Day tickets start from £10 and weekend club tickets start from only £15 including camping.

More details will be available in February so keep an eye on the Ignition Xtreme website.

Within the next couple of weeks we should have some new car vinyls with the clubs site address on to give out, it will be a maximum of 2 per person until we run out then we will look at getting hold of another batch to give away. For more information see the forums and get your name down for your FREE set of vinyls.

Also we have our new range of club merchandise coming for 2010, these are currently in design stages and will have our first sample within the next few weeks. Prices for these will be up at a later date once we know what the cost of having the design made up for us.
