The next-generation Chevy Malibu has been keeping us in anticipation for quite some time now, right? As if answering our prayers for a speedier arrival of the model, GM is giving an accelerated thought to the plan. We hear the car maker has put the production of the model on fast track.
So, that means the production of the 2013 Chevrolet Malibu will get underway in January net year. Now that is welcome news as we had earlier been told that the car would get into production only during May 2012. If the January 2012 deadline is met, we guess we will be able to see the car hit retail sometime later next year.
GM is said to be mulling over getting the Malibu assembled at their US plants. The car could get a shape at the Fairfax Assembly plant in Kansas and GM’s Hamtramck facility in Detroit.
In all probability, the new upcoming Chevrolet Malibu could get showcased at the Shanghai Auto Show on April 19. And then it could travel to the New York auto show on April 21.
