Dodge 2011 Charger Pictures Revealed

The first pictures of Dodge’s redesigned 2011 Charger have been revealed to the public. The car, which is to be available later this year, has a front bumper that is noticeably aggressive, a huge grille, extremely distinctive taillights and a debonair roof. The tail lights glow with 164 LED bulbs, bringing to mind the 1969 Charger.

Dodge is yet to release any pictures of the interior, but has said that inside the cabin is a three-spoke steering wheel and top of the line materials. It is also said that the Charger has received a major technology upgrade with options such as Uconnect Touch (with Garmin navigation), adaptive-cruise control and blind-spot monitoring.

Engine options include a 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 and a 5.7-liter HEMI V8, and earlier leaked information says that the V6 will have 305 hp (227 kW / 309 PS) and 268 lb-ft (363 Nm) of torque. The V8 is expected to be rated at 379 hp (283 kW / 384 PS) and 410 lb-ft (555 Nm) of torque.

Rear-wheel drive is still standard, with an optional all-wheel drive, which has an active transfer case and a front-axle disconnect that reverts the car to RWD when additional traction isn’t required.
