Smart has launched the new limited special edition Fortwo Nightorange. The car is based on the Passion Coupé and Passion Cabrio. The urban two-seater is up for orders and will reach dealers from 22 Feb 2011. The car is available with a 1 L petrol engine, 1 L turbo petrol engine or a 0.8 L diesel turbo engine producing 71, 84 and 54 hp respectively. Customers can choose between a coupe and convertible model of the car.
True to its name, the Smart Fortwo Nightorange has got a metallic orange paint job that matches with a black tridion safety cell and 15 inch black 3-double-spoke alloy wheels. It has also got black painted headlamp trims, black mirror caps and Nightorange logos on the mirror triangles. The Nightorange roadster version features a black soft top.
The interior of the car has derived the external color concept. Leather and fabric black seats with an orange stripe in the middle and the knee pad in leather looks sporty. The door trim and instrument panel are all black; the instrument trims are contrastingly given pearl black finish. The sport steering wheel with 3 spokes and paddle shift and the gear knobs are wrapped in black nappa leather.
Other standard features include basic audio system (RDS radio with AUX/USB ports) with 2 loudspeakers, a cockpit clock and rev counter on the dashboard, softtouch automatic gear program, electric windows, AC with automatic temp control, transparent panoramic sunroof with sunblind.
While electric power steering, heated seats a lockable glove box, surround music system with 6 speakers, navigation/multimedia integrated touchscreen audio system is optional.
The 1.0 L petrol coupe costs €13,995, 1.0 L turbo petrol coupe costs €14,565, 0.8 L diesel turbo coupe version costs €15,255; the cabrio versions cost €17,086, €17,655 and €18,345 respectively.
