VW Golf VI Cabrio Production to Begin at Onasbruck

Volkswagen Golf VI Cabrio will start off its production process early next year. Production will take place at the Osnabrück site (formerly the site of the Karmann holding company). Volkswagen will be taking in a workforce of more than 1,000 people as well as the technical development and metal units of the insolvent Wilhelm Karmann GmbH.

The assembly line at Osnabrück has churned out several beautiful automobiles; and that now Volkswagen will be continuing this tradition with their new Golf Cabrio, starting 2011.

They point out that the specialist skills and the capacities that are available at the site are priceless.

Volkswagen will be creating approximately up to 1,800 jobs at the Volkswagen Osnabrück site by the end of 2011.
